How do I obtain my CNTR approval? – Food Retail Businesses 🥪

Follow this guide if you want to put together a CNTR application and you run a business such as:

  • Butcher’s shop
  • Charcuterie
  • Bakery
  • Patisserie
  • Or any other food business
📚 Step 1: Put your application together with 3 documents
  1. The situation notice or the final registration certificate in the SIRENE Directory for your business, showing your APE code.
⚠️ APE codes 7010Z or 000Z are not accepted.

Lost your document? 👀 No problem, you can download it directly from the INSEE website!

  2. This CNTR declaration of honour to print out and fill in.

  3. Depending on your situation:
  • For shop owners: An original extract from the Trade Register (K, Kbis or Lbis) for your business, issued within the last month. Can’t find this document? 👀 You can request it from the Commercial Court Registry your business depends on, or order it from www.infogreffe.fr.
⚠️ Any KBIS extract that does not mention the business activity and the establishment concerned by the application will be rejected.
  • For artisans: A copy of the extract of registration in the Trades Directory.
  • For associations: A copy of the articles of association showing the catering activity.
💌 Step 2: Send your application to the right place

Your application is ready, all you need to do now is send it by recorded delivery with acknowledgement of receipt to:

La Commission Nationale des Titres-Restaurant
32, rue Brison
42335 ROANNE Cedex

📆 What happens next?
  • ⏳ For 12 months, a provisional approval: If you meet the regulatory requirements for meal vouchers and your application is complete, the CNTR will issue you with a provisional ministerial approval valid for 12 months.
  • ✅ After one year, your final approval: At the end of this period, and within one month, you’ll need to reapply to the CNTR, who will check your application and, if you still meet the requirements, will grant you final approval.
