Want to accept meal vouchers as a payment method? Here’s what you need to know (click to expand 👇):
- You must be a restaurateur, run a food shop, a supermarket, or an establishment that sells eligible food products. If not, unfortunately you won’t be able to accept meal vouchers at your establishment.
- You need to obtain approval from the National Commission for Meal Vouchers (CNTR). To get this approval, you’ll need to put together an application and send it to the CNTR by recorded delivery with acknowledgement of receipt.
Yes, there’s a bit of paperwork, but it’s still quicker than making a chicken and olive stew! 👨🍳
The documents you need to provide depend on your type of business. Find the list of required documents in our dedicated articles below 👇
- For restaurants
- For fruit and vegetable retailers
- For food shops (butchers, delicatessens, bakeries, patisseries, caterers)
- For supermarkets, convenience stores and frozen food shops
- For contract catering
- For vending machines
Once your application is complete, send it by recorded delivery with acknowledgement of receipt to:
The National Commission for Meal Vouchers
32, rue Brison
42335 ROANNE Cedex
➡️ The CNTR usually issues approval within 15 days to 1 month. Once you’ve received your approval, you can start accepting meal vouchers at your establishment.
