As an affiliate, your contract is “all-in-one”: it automatically covers acceptance of Swile cards and Bimpli products (formerly Apetiz), both cards and paper vouchers, following the merger between Swile and Bimpli in January 2024.
Once you’re affiliated, two separate activations are required: one for Swile cards only (using your terminal credentials in your Swile affiliate area), and another for Bimpli cards (formerly Apetiz) only (by setting up Conecs on your terminal, depending on the card generation). These two activations are completely independent: setting up one does not activate the other.
⚠️ Prerequisite: be a Swile affiliate
You can only activate acceptance of Swile and Bimpli (formerly Apetiz) cards on your terminal once your affiliation is complete. If you’re not yet affiliated, follow the steps in our article How do I accept Swile card payments or add a new establishment?
How do I activate Swile card payments on my terminal?
To accept Swile card payments on your terminal, enter your terminal credentials in your Swile affiliate area. This step is only for Swile card payments: it does not affect acceptance of Bimpli cards (formerly Apetiz), which is set up separately (see the next section).
- Step 1: Log in to your Swile affiliate area.
- Step 2: Go to the section for your terminal credentials.
- Step 3: Enter your terminal credentials and save.
For full details on this process, see our article How do I find and add my terminal credentials?
How do I activate Bimpli card acceptance on my terminal?
To accept Bimpli card payments (formerly Apetiz) on your terminal, the setup depends on the card generation. Bimpli cards work on a hybrid network using two separate channels: the standard banking channel (1st generation cards) and the Conecs channel (2nd generation cards).
1st generation Bimpli cards: standard banking channel
No configuration is needed on your terminal for 1st generation Bimpli cards. Transactions are automatically sent with your regular card payments, just like a standard bank card.
2nd generation Bimpli cards: Conecs channel
To accept 2nd generation Bimpli cards on your terminal, you need to set up your terminal to accept payments via the Conecs network. This setup is done directly with your terminal provider, not in your Swile affiliate area.
- Have your bank account details card ready.
- Contact your terminal provider to set up payments via the Conecs network on your terminal.
For more information, see the Conecs procedure.
⚠️ Important points for Conecs setup
- Enable this setting for both contact and contactless payments.
- If you change your bank or terminal, you’ll need to set up Conecs again.
