How do I activate acceptance of Swile and Bimpli cards on my payment terminal?

As a Swile affiliate, your contract is “all-in-one”: it automatically covers acceptance of Swile cards and Bimpli products (cards and paper vouchers), following the merger between Swile and Bimpli in January 2024. Once affiliated, two separate activations are required to accept payments on your payment terminal: one on the Swile side (terminal credentials) and the other on the Bimpli side (Conecs configuration depending on the card generation). Here’s what you need to do.

⚠️ Prerequisite — be a Swile affiliate

Activation of Swile and Bimpli card acceptance on your payment terminal is only possible once your affiliation is complete. If you’re not yet affiliated, follow the steps in our dedicated article: How to accept Swile card payments or add a new establishment.

How do I activate Swile payments on my payment terminal?

To accept Swile card payments on your terminal, you need to enter your terminal credentials in your Swile affiliate area. This step is essential: without it, no Swile payments can be processed on your terminal.

  1. Step 1 — Log in: Log in to your Swile affiliate area.
  2. Step 2 — Terminal credentials: Go to the section for your terminal credentials.
  3. Step 3 — Enter details: Enter your terminal credentials and save.

For the full step-by-step guide, see our dedicated article: How to find and add your terminal credentials.

How do I activate Bimpli card acceptance on my payment terminal?

Bimpli cards work on a hybrid network using two separate channels: the Conecs channel (2nd generation Bimpli cards) and the standard banking channel (1st generation Bimpli cards). The activation you need to do on your terminal depends on the card generation.

1st generation Bimpli cards (standard banking channel)

No terminal configuration is needed for 1st generation Bimpli cards. Transactions are automatically sent with your standard card payments, just like a regular bank card.

2nd generation Bimpli cards (Conecs channel)

For 2nd generation Bimpli cards, you need to configure your terminal to accept payments via the Conecs network.

  1. Step 1 — Preparation: Have your bank domiciliation card ready.
  2. Step 2 — Contact your terminal provider: Get in touch with your terminal provider to set up payments via the Conecs network.

Why create my Bimpli online account?

Whatever the generation of your Bimpli cards, it’s recommended to create your Bimpli online account. This account allows you to:

  • Be reimbursed for your Conecs transactions
  • Track all your Bimpli transactions
  • Access your Bimpli invoices
