When you pay with your Swile card, if you have several gift voucher or Holiday Benefits accounts, you might wonder which one will be charged 🧐 We’ll explain everything in this article.
If you have a gift voucher or Holiday Benefits account that expires this month, we’ll always charge this one first (⚠️ as long as the retailer is eligible, see: How do I use my Swile gift vouchers? ; Where and how can I spend my Holiday Benefits?).
We apply two rules:
- The account expiring this month is always prioritised.
- We charge your vouchers in the following order:
- Culture
- Back to School
- Birth
- Children’s Christmas
- Holiday Benefits
- Employee Christmas / Wedding or Civil Partnership / Father’s Day or Mother’s Day / St Catherine’s or St Nicholas’ Day / Retirement
If you want to pay at a retailer that accepts both gift vouchers and meal vouchers, the order of payment will always be as follows, regardless of the expiry date:
- Gift vouchers & Holiday Benefits
- Meal vouchers
🙌 Important
This article only applies to payments made directly with your Swile card. If you pay on the Swile shop, you can choose which gift voucher account you want to use at the time of payment. See: How do I buy a gift card from the Swile shop?
- Each voucher has its own spending rules. To find out more, see: How do I use my Swile gift vouchers?
