Swile makes carrying over your meal vouchers simple: by default, your meal vouchers don’t expire and can be carried over from month to month 🎉 Unless your employer decides otherwise. We’ll explain everything in this article!
💡 What is the carry-over of meal vouchers?
Carrying over meal vouchers means that any unused vouchers from the previous year are added to your balance for the current year. Your balance rolls over from month to month and year to year. Your meal vouchers are valid indefinitely.
🧐 How does it work?
By default, every year, you can use vouchers from the previous year up until 28 February of the following year! When you use your Swile card, the oldest balance is used first automatically.
From 1 March, any remaining balance is converted into your new balance for the coming year 🎉 However, some employers may choose to disable the automatic carry-over. Feel free to check with your administrator to see if this option is active on your Swile account.
