When you make a booking, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your booking reference number. No e-ticket or boarding pass will be sent to you automatically. In this article, we’ll explain why and how you can get them 💡
🛫 Important
- You’ll need your boarding pass to board the plane
- An e-ticket is not required.
Here’s what you need to know 👇
The e-ticket is no longer automatically sent by airlines. If you need it for a VISA application, you can contact us and we’ll send it to you. You won’t need it to board the plane. Only the boarding pass is required.
To get your boarding pass, you’ll need to check in online (also known as Check-in).
📆 When should you check in?
Online check-in is available with most airlines. It opens on their website between 24 and 48 hours before your flight (and up to 1 month before departure for Easyjet). When check-in opens, Swile will send you an email explaining what to do to get your boarding pass.
👩💻 How do you check in?
Check-in is done on the airline’s website. You’ll need:
-
Your booking reference (a 6-character code found in our confirmation emails)
- Your flight number
- The name of one of the travellers
-
And sometimes the Swile Travel booking email: flight@travel.swile.co
Good to know: You might have issues if your company has a firewall. Try checking in on your phone using mobile data (not wifi). If you’re still having trouble, feel free to contact us.
📍 Checking in at the airport
Some airlines don’t allow online check-in. This will be stated on their website. In this case, you’ll need to check in at the airport, so make sure you arrive early.
