At Swile, we want to give our users the freedom to choose how they travel. That’s why, in the Holidays shop, you’ll find a "Committed Brands" category, which highlights our partner brands (accommodation, activities, and transport solutions) that are dedicated to respecting local areas and the people who live there.
💚 How do we select our partners?
To identify them, we’ve developed an evaluation method based on the following elements:
16 criteria are assessed, divided into 4 main pillars:
Environment: use of renewable energy, waste reduction, water conservation, low-carbon transport, eco-construction, and more.
Social and local impact: working with local producers, inclusion and accessibility, sustainable working conditions, support for community projects, and so on.
Governance and certifications: official certifications, formal CSR policy, ongoing improvement initiatives, membership of committed networks, etc.
Transparency and communication: dedicated page on eco-responsibility, sharing of key indicators, open communication, raising customer awareness, and more.
A 20-point scoring system: each criterion is worth between 1 and 3 points, depending on its level of requirement. The presence of environmental and/or social labels or certifications (B Corp, Green Key, EU Ecolabel, ATR, etc.) is especially valued.
A minimum eligibility threshold of 10 points: brands must reach this score to be labelled as "Committed Brands", reflecting a significant and well-rounded commitment to various aspects of sustainability.
💡 Important information
The evaluation is carried out based on the information provided on our partner brands’ websites. We rely on publicly available data and the commitments shared by the partners themselves to carry out our scoring.
