You can use your Swile card in supermarkets and hypermarkets. Here’s everything you need to know 👇
Your Swile card is accepted in all major supermarkets! Just let the cashier know that you’d like to pay part of your bill with meal vouchers.
You can use your card in these stores up to a limit of 25 euros per day from Monday to Saturday (excluding Sundays and public holidays, unless your employer has agreed otherwise).
🧐 What items can you pay for with meal vouchers?
Until 31/12/2026: any food product, whether or not it’s ready to eat, can be paid for using this payment method (excluding alcohol, sweets, baby food and pet food).
If you have gift vouchers, you can’t spend this allowance directly with your Swile Card in supermarkets.
However, you can buy a gift card through your Swile account, which you can then use in supermarkets to pay for your shopping!
You can’t buy food products with your gift vouchers, which is why your Swile card won’t work directly in these stores for this purpose.
If you have mobility benefits, you can’t spend this allowance directly with your Swile card in supermarkets. However, you can buy an item eligible for sustainable mobility expenses using another payment method, then request a reimbursement from your Swile account.
