What happens to gift vouchers when they expire?

💌 How are your employees notified about the expiry of their gift vouchers?

The expiry date is displayed on your recipients' Swile account (under the Accounts menu).

We also send a reminder as the expiry date approaches to let your recipients know.

💸 What happens to any unused balance?

Any unused balance at the end of the validity period will not be refunded (unless otherwise agreed) to your Swile company pot.

🫣 Can you check your employees' remaining balance to remind them?

This is not possible. For privacy reasons, we do not share the remaining balance on each of your employees' accounts. We therefore recommend that you remind your staff at the start or a few months before their vouchers expire, by sharing our help page with them: How do I use my Swile gift vouchers?
