Gift vouchers are credited by your Works Council (CSE) or an equivalent body.

You cannot use your Swile card directly to spend your gift vouchers at retailers selling food products (Supermarkets; Amazon, Cdiscount, etc.) or fuel*.
This article explains how and where you can spend your gift vouchers, depending on the type you have received.
đ How can you spend your gift vouchers?
Go to your Swile account. For more information, see: How do I buy a gift card?
You can spend your gift vouchers:
- Directly in shops by using your Swile card as a payment method. If your purchase is more than the amount available on your Swile account, youâll need to pay in two transactions (one with your Swile card and the rest with another payment method). You can find all eligible retailers from your Swile account, on your gift voucher page (section Where to spend with my Swile card, See brands).
- Online. Choose to pay by card and enter your Swile card details. The total amount must be less than or equal to the amount of gift vouchers available on your Swile account.

đ Where can you use your gift vouchers?
The allocation and use of gift vouchers is regulated by URSSAF. Click below on the type of vouchers you have received to find out where you can spend them đž
You can spend them directly with your Swile card at retailers in fashion, beauty, games, leisure, sports, cinema, travel, furniture, DIY, culture, car & motorbike (excluding fuel) and more.
You cannot use your Swile card directly to spend your gift vouchers at retailers selling food products (Supermarkets; Amazon, Cdiscount, etc.).*
On the Swile Gift Shop, you can convert these vouchers into gift cards for these retailers, valid on non-food items. For example, Carrefour gift cards (excluding fuel and food), Cdiscount (excluding food) or Amazon culture, E.Leclerc cultural spaces.
Gift vouchers credited for Childrenâs Christmas can be spent at retailers who sell goods suitable for children under 16 (not services), such as:
Fashion (fashion accessories, jewellery, clothing, shoes, etc.);
Leisure & sports equipment;
Books, music and high-tech equipment;
Toys and leisure
Leisure activities for children (theme parks, cinemas)
âïž Please note, some types of retailers are not eligible for Childrenâs Christmas gift vouchers:

Back-to-School gift vouchers can be spent directly with your card at retailers dedicated to these categories đ:
School supplies (backpacks, stationery, bookshops, etc.)
- Clothing (clothes, shoes, sportswear, etc.), excluding luxury
IT equipment (computers, tablets, etc.)
You cannot use your Swile card directly to spend your gift vouchers at retailers selling food products (Supermarkets; Amazon, Cdiscount, etc.). More information at the bottom of the page*.
You can use your card directly at retailers selling cultural products and services. For example:
- Tickets for shows, theatre and music
- Cinema tickets
- Tickets for museums, exhibitions, historic monuments, conferences
- Books (excluding school textbooks) and comics, e-books and online press
- Music or video media: audio CDs, DVDs, videos, multimedia CDs
âïž If a retailer also sells other types of products (such as Carrefour, Amazon, etc.), you cannot pay directly with your Swile card as we cannot guarantee your purchase will be for cultural items.
If you want to spend at a general retailer, the solution is to buy a gift card from our shop as explained at the start of this article. You can then use this in the retailer (in-store and/or online depending on the gift cardâs terms).
*Regulations do not allow you to buy food products** or gift cards valid for food products, or fuel, with a gift voucher.
**Exception for delicatessens, wine merchants and chocolatiers where you can spend your Adult Gift Vouchers.
