How can I get reimbursed for my public transport subscription?

As part of your commuting benefits, your company may have enabled reimbursement for transport passes. In this case, you can pay for your transport pass using your own payment method and get reimbursed through your Swile account.

🧐 How do I get reimbursed for my transport pass?
  • Pay for your pass using your own payment method, for example your bank card.
  • On your Swile account, click on your Commuting account
  • Click on Get reimbursed and select Transport pass (📌 if you don't see this option, it means your company doesn't cover transport pass reimbursements via Swile).
  • Add a description for the purchase and the total amount spent
  • Choose the bank account where you'd like to receive your reimbursement
  • Attach your receipt and confirm.

Once your reimbursement request has been approved, the amount will be credited to your bank account.

💸 How much will you be reimbursed?

The reimbursement amount matches the share covered by your company (usually 50%).

📆 What period is covered for reimbursement?

The reimbursement is based on the period shown on your proof of purchase. However, your receipts will only be reimbursed from your start date at the company; it's not possible to get reimbursed for expenses before this date.

📩 Do you need to submit your proof every month?

You need to renew your reimbursement request at the end of each validity period of your proof. If you have an annual transport pass, just submit your proof once. We'll automate the reimbursements for the following months.

🤓 In summary

  • Pay for your pass with your own payment method then submit a reimbursement request from your Swile account.

  • The reimbursement amount matches the share covered by your company (usually 50%).

  • You can't be reimbursed for expenses before your start date at the company.

  • If you have an annual pass, just submit your proof once. No need to send it every month 💃
