🔐 Strong authentication

The principle of strong authentication is a measure put in place to further secure any sensitive actions carried out from your administrator account.

The aim? To ensure a strict identity and access management policy and reduce the chances of a successful cyberattack.

In practice, when you perform a sensitive action, you will receive a confirmation code by SMS (or via a voice call to a landline) to prove that you are the legitimate owner of the account making the request.

👉 What are considered sensitive actions?

Several actions in your admin area are affected: approving an order, adding an administrator, and so on. Whenever you carry out these actions, strong authentication will be required and you’ll be asked to double-check these actions by entering the security code you receive.

👉 Can strong authentication be removed?

No. This step will be required by Swile’s services for every sensitive action. You must enter the code if prompted.

👉 Can the code be sent by email?

No, at present strong authentication is only available by phone.

👉 Can I receive the code via WhatsApp or another system instead of SMS?

No, this is not possible at the moment.
