How to cancel a train ticket?

From your Swile Travel account, whether partially or fully, for one or more passengers, you can easily cancel your train tickets!

⛔️ Warning: irreversible action

Once the cancellation is confirmed, there's no going back. You'll need to search again and book new tickets if you cancel your ticket by mistake.

👩‍💻 How to cancel a ticket on my Swile Travel account

Go to the My bookings tab and find your reservation from the following sub-sections:

  • My trips: if you are one of the travellers
  • Team trips: if this trip concerns your team (accessible to validators and administrators)
  • Trips I booked: if you booked the trip yourself that you wish to cancel

Once on the reservation, click on Cancel. You can either:

  • Cancel the trip for all or some passengers, if the fare conditions allow.
  • Cancel either the outbound, the return, or both for the same passenger.

  • Tick the desired boxes. The refund amount will be displayed if your booking is refundable.
  • Click on Confirm cancellation to initiate the cancellation and refund.

👀 Can I cancel my ticket with SNCF?

You can cancel your ticket with SNCF, but it is strongly recommended to go through Swile Travel if your request is not urgent.

You can cancel your ticket with SNCF:

  • By phone, at 36 35 (standard rate).

  • On the TGV INOUI app
  • At a white or yellow SNCF machine, in the station.

  • At a counter, in an SNCF shop or at the station. If a ticket agent refuses on the grounds that it is a "travel agency" ticket, insist. Your Swile Travel agency is an official reseller and SNCF is obliged to cancel it if you request.

💸 What happens to my refund if I cancelled my ticket with SNCF?

Since Swile Travel processed the payment for your ticket, SNCF will not be able to refund you. But we can 😊 However, SNCF will not notify us of this cancellation. You will need to send us a message via chat or through this form specifying your booking reference and the nature of your request. We can then finalise your refund 💸.

📆 Deadline to respect

You have a maximum of 1 month to contact us after an SNCF cancellation. After this period, we will no longer be able to refund you, as the file will have disappeared from SNCF's database.
