đ§ Why are contactless payments declined while chip and PIN payments are accepted?
-
If the transaction failure appears on your customer's Swile app and your card machine prints a cancellation receipt (paper or electronic), the payment has been declined by our system.
To resolve this issue:
Check your credentials: Make sure your card machine's credentials are correctly registered in your Swile account. You can find these credentials on your card receipts (check both a contactless and a chip and PIN receipt). See: How to find and add your card machine credentials?
Add any missing credentials: If the credential for contactless payments is missing, add it.If your credentials are correctly entered in your account, please contact us by clicking on the button at the bottom of this page.
If the failure does not appear on your customer's Swile app and your card machine does not print a cancellation receipt (paper or electronic), the request has not reached our system.
This means the issue is not with your card machine, but possibly with your customer's Swile card.
They should contact our User Support team to resolve the issue.
đČ Only payments via phone are failing?
Payments via phone (Apple Pay, Google Wallet, etc.) may require a software update for your card machine to be accepted.
If you notice that chip and PIN and contactless payments are accepted, but not phone payments, you need to contact your card machine provider so they can enable this type of payment.
Once this has been set up, you don't need to do anything else! âïž
