Change the Face Value of Meal Vouchers and Employer Contribution

The face value is the total amount of the meal voucher, which includes the employer's contribution (the employer's financial share) and the employee's contribution (the employee's financial share).

On Swile, you can:

  • Change the default face value of meal vouchers, which will apply to all recipients for all orders.

  • Place an order and select different face values for certain employees.

Here's how to do it 👇️

👩‍💻 Change the default face value and the employer's contribution amount

To change these two details:

  • Go to your admin area

  • Go to Settings > Meal voucher value subsection

  • Edit the information

  • Click Confirm

You can change the default face value and the employer's contribution by entering the desired amount for the meal vouchers and the desired percentage for the employer's contribution.

The employer's contribution shows you, for information purposes, the amount you will be responsible for after deducting the employee's share from your staff. You will need to pay the full amount for the meal vouchers when you place your order.

👩‍💻 Set different face values within the same order

You can set a default face value in the settings, and specify a different face value for certain employees within an order. To do this:

👉 If you're using a CSV file:

  • Click New order

  • Click Import via file

  • Tick Manage different face values for vouchers

  • Complete your file and import it

  • Finalise your order

👉 If you're using the platform:

  • Click New order
  • Click on the recipient's row, then on the "pencil" icon on the far right

  • Change the amount in the Face value field

  • Repeat for the relevant recipients

  • Finalise your order
