👀 Starting a new job… and your new company uses Swile too?
Lucky you, you can keep your Swile card right by your side! Your new employer will simply connect your existing Swile account to their organization. Nothing to order, nothing to lose. 👉 Everything you need to know is right here.
The best end-of-career for your card is… recycling it. We’ve partnered with Adimas, a certified recycling partner that handles all used cards sustainably.
Two options for you:
✅
Your company has a Swile recycling box:
Just drop your card in it — but
don’t bend, twist, or cut it,
as that reduces the recycling efficiency.

No box at work or you're working remotely?
Send us your card by post (no stamp needed)
to this address:

Just pop it in a regular envelope, drop it in any mailbox, and that’s it!
Best practice | Why is that? |
---|---|
Slide in a maximum of 5 cards per reply envelope. | If you send more than 5 cards, the envelope may be returned to you. Rest assured: even a card sent on its own is still beneficial from an environmental point of view: recycling it avoids twice as many emissions as sending it. |
Send only cards with a chip (Swile, gift vouchers, other issuers). | Do not send cards without a chip (loyalty cards, transport cards, etc.). Do not send bank cards, as this poses insurance problems. |
Make sure the card is in good condition: untwisted, uncut, chip intact. | A damaged card (folded, cut or without its chip) cannot be recycled, as it no longer meets the criteria for industrial processing. |
Remove all stickers, post-it notes, scotch tape and staples before sending. | Glue tends to hinder recycling. |
Just slip the card into an envelope, without its packaging, or other mail, post it... | Don't over-wrap (cardboard boxes, thick envelopes, etc.): this unnecessarily weighs down the parcel. |
Once your card is received, it’s taken care of by our partner Adimas, who will dismantle and recycle it according to strict environmental standards.

Why recycle? The big question we asked ourselves...
We wanted to be sure we were doing the right thing. So, we ran a full environmental impact study comparing the different end-of-life options for your Swile card.
The result?
The environmental benefit of recycling
a single card
is so significant
that the emissions from sending it by mail are
more than offset.
In short:
recycling your card — even by post — is better than not recycling at all.
So don’t think twice: slip it into an envelope and send it off. We’ll take care of the rest 😊
By joining in, you're helping us reduce waste and support a circular economy. Thanks for being part of the journey 🙌
We're shipping all cards in its eco-friendly packaging.
The packaging is made from FSC or PEFC-certified paper, sourced from responsibly managed forests — and it’s 100% recyclable.
So, go for your best dunk and toss it into the cardboard recycling bin (yep, the yellow one).
Mission accomplished.
