Your Works Council (CSE) or employer can grant you Holiday Benefits to use, as the name suggests, for your holidays (accommodation; transport; culture and sport; art and leisure). We explain everything below so you can make the most of them 🤩🏝️.
Your CSE or employer places the order for Holiday Benefits and chooses the date they are credited to your account. You’ll receive two notifications:
- An email letting you know your Holiday Benefits have been credited to your Swile account
- Another email to guide you on how to use them
On your Swile account, in the Accounts tab, you’ll find your Benefits and your remaining balance.
To spend your Holiday Benefits, make sure you’ve activated your account first. If needed, see: How do I activate my account?
Once your account is activated, you have two ways to use your Holiday Benefits:
- Convert them into a gift voucher directly from your Swile account
- Spend them with your Swile card, either online or at your holiday destination.
💡 Good to know: The amount must be less than or equal to your balance. It’s not possible to activate relay by card payment.
- For online payments, make sure you have enough Holiday Benefits balance to cover your purchase.
- In shops, you can ask to split the payment if needed (one with your Swile card and the rest with your own payment method).
📌 You can spend your Holiday Benefits only for your holidays (accommodation; transport; culture/sport; art/leisure). You cannot use them for food and drink. For more details on where you can spend them, see this article: Where and how can I spend my Holiday Benefits?
Your Holiday Benefits are valid for 2 years from the date they’re made available on your Swile account. After this period, they expire and can’t be recovered. You can check the expiry date of your Holiday Benefits on your Swile account, in the Accounts tab.
