This article explains where and how you can spend your Holiday Benefits 🤩🏝️
🏝️ Where can you spend your Holiday Benefits?
✅ You can only use your Holiday Benefits for holiday-related expenses, such as:
- Accommodation (hotels, campsites, caravan parks, holiday villages, motels, resorts, holiday cottages, guest houses, unique stays, seasonal rentals through estate agents, etc.)
- Transport (flights, train or coach tickets).
- One-off sports or leisure activities (skiing, surfing, climbing, skydiving, etc.) or sports equipment hire
- Artistic or cultural activities (museums, guided tours, visits to historical monuments, etc.)
- Concerts and shows
- Holiday camps and day camps (as long as payment is made directly to the organisation and you provide proof of registration to your Works Council).
- Toll charges (only at ticketed toll booths)
💡 If needed, you must be able to prove that these expenses were made as part of your holidays.
*For public transport, you must buy your tickets at ticket machines or station counters. You can't use your Holiday Benefits card to pay directly at metro gates or on buses.
❌ You cannot use your Holiday Benefits to pay for:
- Food and drink
- At general retailers selling cultural products (Fnac, Amazon Culture, etc.).
- At general retailers selling sports equipment (Decathlon, Intersport, etc.)
- Sports events or long-term sports memberships (sports clubs, year-long extracurricular activities).
- Topping up or subscribing to your toll tag
💸 How do you spend your Holiday Benefits?
Spend your Benefits in the shop with our selected partners (gift cards, zoos and aquariums, theme parks, seaside villas, and more 😏). Here’s how:
- Click on your Holiday account
- Click on Spend
- Choose the product you want and add it to your basket
- At checkout, select payment with your Holiday account.
If you spend your Holiday Benefits in the Shop, you can top up the payment with:
- ✅ Your bank card
- ✅ Subsidy
- ✅ Other eligible accounts (e.g. gift or culture vouchers). If you have other Swile accounts and they don’t appear at checkout, they’re not eligible for this purchase.
Use your Swile card directly to pay at our partner locations. You can find the list in the Where to spend section of your Swile app.
For online payments, select card payment and enter your Swile card details.
If you pay with your card:
- ✅ You can top up the payment with other eligible accounts (e.g. gift or culture vouchers)
- 🚫 You cannot top up the payment with CB relay.
- For online payments: The amount of your purchase must be less than or equal to your Holiday Benefits balance.
- For in-person payments: You can ask the merchant to split the payment (part with your Swile card, part with your own payment method).
🌟 Good to know
You have 2 years to spend your Holiday Benefits.
If you have several Swile accounts, we prioritise which one is debited first based on your Benefits:
- If you have Christmas gift vouchers for employees: your Holiday Benefits will be used first, then Christmas gift vouchers (if you have any)
- If you have other vouchers (Culture, Children’s Christmas, Back to School): these will be used first, then your Holiday Benefits, and finally, your Adult Christmas vouchers.
