Why Has the Card Payment Top-Up Been Deactivated?

This article is for Swile meal voucher holders. The CB relay (bank card relay) allows you to top up a meal voucher payment with your personal bank card. Once activated, this option may automatically deactivate in three situations. Here’s how to identify the cause and reactivate the CB relay.

Case 1: My bank card has expired

If the bank card linked to your Swile meal voucher CB relay has expired, you’ll need to register an up-to-date card from your profile:

  1. Step 1: Go to the Menu (or your profile if you’re on a computer)
  2. Step 2: Click on Bank cards & IBAN.
  3. Step 3: Click on Add a bank card, and remove the expired card.

Case 2: An amount needs to be settled

If a previous CB relay payment couldn’t be collected, you’ll be prompted to settle the outstanding amount. Once the payment is settled, the CB relay will be available again.

Case 3: A period of inactivity has been detected

The CB relay will also deactivate if your Swile meal voucher account has been inactive in the following situations:

  • No meal vouchers have been loaded onto your account for over 4 months and your balance is €0.
  • Or no CB relay payment has been made for 6 months.

If this happens, you just need to reactivate the option. 📚 CB relay: how do I link my bank card to my Swile card?
