No. It is not permitted to order a bulk amount of meal vouchers to keep on a company account (or on a card, or any other medium) and then credit employees’ accounts as and when needed.
Why is this restriction in place?
The way meal vouchers work (whether paper or digital) is based on two key legal principles:
They are personal: Each voucher is linked to a specific recipient from the moment it is created.
Calculated based on actual days worked: The allocation must strictly match the number of days the employee has worked in the previous month.
